I was shocked to discover the shower in our room lacked basic amenities like proper water pressure. Definitely not what you expect in Venice! The hotel's decor felt, how do I put this politely, outdated? And woudl it have killed them to provide a complimentary pastries at breakfast? I almost considered a good review but just couldn't.

Casa nicolo was a good surprise! This was my second visit to venice, and the hotel's classic decor with a modern touch really exceeded my expectations. The large smart tv was a hit with my daughter, and the staff helped us organize excursions seamlessly.
breakfast was not included.

The staff was amazing, super friendly and helped us so much. They even changed our room to ground floor when my wife hurt her knee which was really kind. The location is perfect for all main attractions and great food places. Loved our room with canal view, so nice sitting there. The breakfast was decent to start our day exploring venice.

The manner in which we were received was welcoming! Felt the reception staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome!
Breakfast room horribly cramped. Table linen extremely soiled...selection for breakfast really not great.

We loved being so close to San Marcos and yet the hotel was quiet. At night w/ the windows wide open, we were amazed at the silence. Another great feature was the room decor. We loved the antiques and the clean, modern bathroom.
The mattresses were too firm for us. That was about the only negative.

great stay but minor room issues
The staff provided excellent assistance , going above and beyond to help us with unexpected problems. I particularly appreciated the lovely city view from our room, made our mornings brighter. Breakfast was simple yet satisfying, offering just the right start to our busy days exploring.
Our room had a slight musty smell which was a bit off-putting at times.

Normal double room and clean bathroom with a shower, a hair dryer and a bidet. Satisfactory breakfast with cheese, toast, 2 kinds of juices, efficient personnel. Good service and good value.

the staff was friendly and very helpful. We had a 6:00am flight out of Venice the staff called a water taxi for us and it was ready at 4:00am and had breakfast bag to go for everyone in my family. The staff also told us some great places to eat in Venice away from the tourist sections.
